Depending on the customer’s wishes and the nature of the moving job, we normally offer two different international moving solutions:
#1 Moving with the help of a single team:
In this case, the entire moving job is carried out by the same team of movers. The items to be moved are packed and loaded onto Adduco’s moving trucks at the place of departure, then delivered to the destination by the same trucks.
Once there, your belongings are unloaded and unpacked by the same team of movers who initially packed them and loaded them onto the trucks.
This option is generally slightly more expensive, but faster and somewhat safer, as your belongings are not reloaded at a terminal.
#2 Moving with the help of international partners:
In this case, your belongings are packed and loaded for removal by movers from the country of departure. Next, the possessions are prepared for international road transport at a local terminal.
Finally, the packed items are received by specialists in the country of destination, who will arrange for delivery, unloading, and unpacking at the final address.
This option is the cheaper of the two and hence more popular. However, it does involve a slightly greater risk in regards to the security of the belongings to be moved.
Whichever option you choose, we always work to the same standards, which means that our customers’ belongings are only packed using durable and high-quality materials. Both Adduco’s moving experts and international partners only apply the most efficient and stringent working practices.
How is the price of the international moving service determined?
International moving services require the use of different resources compared to domestic removals, which is why the final price of the service depends on the following factors:
- The primary price components when it comes to international removals are the volume and, in the case of air transport, the weight of the belongings.
- In addition, the cost depends on the distance and destination. Our moving experts will assist you wherever you need to move, but keep in mind that the costs will vary for each country of destination.
- The choice of transport depends on how quickly and when the job needs to be completed. The fastest option is generally air transport, but it is also more expensive.
- Our moving experts are available to help you load your belongings for removal, transport them to the destination, and unload them upon arrival.
- If desired, you are free to perform the loading work yourself, which can bring the cost of the international moving service down significantly.
- In the interest of security, all international shipments are insured. We also recommend taking out additional insurance for any valuables and fragile items.
- Mover’s liability insurance covering up to €32,000 for items packed by us
We also offer additional insurance for highly valuable items.
Frequently asked questions
It’s easy: all you need to do is call us or send us an e-mail with a description of the items that need to be moved, the addresses, and whether you also need packing services. If any additional matters need to be clarified, the project manager assigned to you will take care of that.
We always try to fulfil our customers’ requests as quickly as possible, but to be safe, it is a good idea to make any international moving plans slightly ahead of time. We recommend getting a quote at least 3–4 weeks before the desired moving date.
The time it takes to complete an international moving job largely depends on the countries of origin and destination. For a specific answer based on your particular needs, please call Adduco’s general customer service line or write us an e-mail.
We accept payment both in cash and by card. You can pay immediately after we have completed the job. By prior agreement, we can also provide an invoice for payment by wire transfer.
If you order packing from Adduco and your belongings are damaged during moving, we will compensate you for the damage caused.
